Young performers from across the Shoalhaven are stepping into the spotlight at Burton St. Beats, a youth‑led music event bringing local sounds, stories, and culture to the Burton Street Stage and Mall in Vincentia on Sunday 26 April, from 2pm to 6pm.
Part of NSW Youth Week, the free event brings together seven acts, all connected to the local area, spanning traditional dance, indie rock, folk, punk, and hard rock. For some, the festival marks a first major performance; for others, a return to a stage that feels like home.
Meet the Lineup
2:00 PM:
The day begins with Dhaawarri Dancers, Vincentia High School’s First Nations dance group, who will open Burton St. Beats with a Welcome to Country. Through traditional dance, the group shares stories that honour culture, community, and Country, setting a respectful and meaningful tone for the event.
2:30 PM:
Next up are Party Henry, an indie rock band formed at Vincentia High School. The band has been playing together for four years and will be performing original songs, including tracks from their upcoming release Backseat. They’re also applying for Triple J’s Unearthed High, hopefully taking their local sound to a national platform.

Party Henry is followed by local contemporary indie artist Sylvie Penny. Sylvie will be singing a set including classics and her own compositions.
3:15 PM:
Noah Leaver brings things back to a quieter, more intimate space with a solo set featuring acoustic guitar and harmonica. Best known as the lead singer of Barefooted Strays, Vincentia High graduate, Noah’s solo performances draw on folk storytelling influences, with songs that feel personal and grounded.

Closing the day are Barefooted Strays, returning to the Burton Street Mall stage after a standout performance at the Vincentia Arts and Music Festival last year. The Barefooted Strays, formed in 2024, are an Alternative and garage rock band blending an influence of 70s rock and 90s grunge. This festival is drawn from band members Ace and Baxter 2025 Youth Voice project “Squids on Show” to bring performing arts to a younger generation.
