This year’s Spring into Sanctuary Point Poster Competition has brought out the creativity, talent, and community spirit of local young people. This year, we invited young people aged between 5 and 18 to create a poster promoting Spring into Sanctuary Point 2026 while exploring the theme “Connecting Community.” The theme devised by Sanctuary Point Community Pride encouraged participants to reflect on the importance of belonging, helping one another, building relationships, and working together to create a stronger, more inclusive community.
This year we had 10 great entries, each offering a unique interpretation of what community connection means. From vibrant illustrations of local events and activities to powerful symbols of togetherness and inclusion, every poster showcased the creativity and imagination of these young artists.

People’s Choice
Zemme’s design was selected as the official poster for Spring into Sanctuary Point 2026. The artwork beautifully captures the spirit of Connecting Community.
The community agreed with the judging panel, with Zemme’s design also receiving the highest number of public votes in the People’s Choice competition.
Highly Commended Primary School
Charlie’s poster impressed voters with its creativity and strong interpretation of the competition theme. They liked the various hands holding up a globe to symbolise community connection and the festive feel.
Highly Commended Secondary School
Daisy’s design stood out as it’s obvious that Daisy has attended Spring into Sanctuary Point through the inclusion of stalls and a classic car.
How the Winners Were Selected
All 10 poster entries were included in a voting process conducted by members of Sanctuary Point Community Pride and Firefly Bay and Basin, who selected their preferred poster.
A separate People’s Choice Award was determined through public voting on Facebook, allowing the community to support their favourite designs.
The quality of entries made the decision incredibly difficult, and we thank everyone who participated in both the judging and voting process.

We want to sincerely thank every young artist who entered the competition. Each submission brought something unique, and together they created a wonderful showcase of local creativity and community spirit.
Competitions like this are about more than selecting a winning design. They provide young people with an opportunity to share their voice, express their creativity, and contribute to a community event that brings people together.
We are proud of every participant and grateful to the families, schools, and supporters who encouraged our young artists throughout the competition.
