UPDATE: DUE TO COMMUNITY REQUEST, THE FIRST SESSION HAS BEEN PUSHED TO 25 OCTOBER.
At our Community Voice gathering earlier this year, we felt the power of what’s possible when we bring our insights, hopes, and strengths together for the young people of Bay & Basin. The energy in the room was clear – we want to keep building, connecting, and learning together.
We are looking for people in our community who want to make change for our young people and join us on the journey.
We’re excited to continue this journey with the Let’s Talk Community three-part workshop series led by Zizi Charida. Zizi is a leading trainer, speaker, and consultant in community development, known for her inspiring work in placemaking and asset-based community development (ABCD). She is the creator of the Let’s Talk Community and has spent over two decades empowering communities to focus on their strengths and assets rather than deficits.

About Zizi Charida
Zizi is the founder of Zahia Pty Ltd, where she provides professional training, consultancy, and innovative community resources. Her approach is grounded in Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) and Appreciative Inquiry (AI), methodologies that prioritise local resources and collaborative engagement. Previously, she founded Community Minds Inc., a charity that developed social enterprises and programs promoting participation and inclusion, particularly for marginalised groups and young people. Zizi’s dynamic, inclusive approach continues to inspire initiatives that build resilient and connected communities across Australia.
