Real Young People.
Real Impact.
Youth Crew is a team of young leaders creating opportunities, events, and positive change across the Bay and Basin.
Through community events, leadership projects, advocacy, volunteering, and creative initiatives, Youth Crew members work together to make their community a better place for young people. Every project is led by young people, supported by Firefly staff, and driven by the belief that young voices matter.
Whether you’re looking to build confidence, develop leadership skills, make friends, or create change, there’s a place for you in Youth Crew.
Interested in getting involved? We’d love to meet you.
Meet the Youth Crew
Behind every Youth Crew project is a group of incredible young people with unique skills, experiences, and ideas.
Willow
“Young people should have a say in the future of their community”
Fierce, funny, and full of confidence, Willow is never afraid to speak her mind. As a proud Aboriginal young woman, she brings passion, leadership, and plenty of sass to the Youth Crew.

Matilda
“I want to help create a community where everyone belongs.”
Tilly brings creativity, imagination, and plenty of fun to the Youth Crew. A proud Aboriginal young woman and advocate for the Autism community, she is passionate about helping others feel seen, heard, and included.
Artie
“Being yourself is your greatest strength.”
Creative, quirky, and imaginative, Artie brings unique ideas and fresh perspectives to every project. A proud member of the trans community and talented artist, they are passionate about inclusion, creativity, and self-expression.

Hayley
“You never know what you’re capable of until you give it a go.”
A proud Aboriginal young woman, talented singer, dancer, and natural go-getter, Hayley brings positivity and enthusiasm wherever she goes. Her energy, determination, and bright smile help bring the team together.
Rosemay
“Sometimes the best ideas come from working together.”
Organised, thoughtful, and dependable, Rosemary brings calm, logic, and a steady voice to the group. She’s a diligent student who helps keep projects moving forward and ensures every idea gets considered.
Why Youth Crew Matters
Youth Crew ensures young people have a genuine voice in the decisions, events, and projects that affect them.
Members work alongside schools, community groups, service providers, local businesses, and Firefly staff to identify opportunities, solve problems, and create positive outcomes for young people across the Bay and Basin.
By listening to young people and investing in their leadership, we’re building a stronger, more connected community for everyone.
