Get ready for an exhilarating day at the BMX Blast event! We’re thrilled to invite you to a fun-filled day to get young people riding bikes!
Date and Time: Saturday, 7th September 2024
Location: Sanctuary Point Skate Park
Event Duration: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Event Highlights:
- BMX Riding Clinics: Run by SCUM, this 45-minute clinic focuses on fundamental BMX skills for junior riders. The same clinic will be run in the morning and afternoon.
- Clinic #1: 10:30 am
- Clinic #2: 1:00 pm (this is a repeat of the morning clinic)
- Bike Maintenance Clinic: Run by SCUM learn the basics of bike maintenance and safety checks from local experts. 11:45 am – 12:15 pm
- Giveaways: Every clinic participant will receive a raffle ticket. At the end of each clinic, we’ll draw a ticket for a $50 prize! Our giveaways include gloves, grips, and other unisex items.

Terms and Conditions
BMX Blast & BMX Wellbeing Grant Event Terms and Conditions
By registering for and participating in the BMX Blast (“Event”), you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:
1. Equipment Requirements:
– Participants must bring their own bike and helmet to the Event.
– All bikes must be in good working condition and suitable for BMX activities.
– Helmets are mandatory for all participants and must be worn at all times while riding.
2. Clothing and Safety:
– Participants must wear appropriate clothing for BMX riding. This includes closed-toe shoes, long pants, and long-sleeve shirts or protective gear.
– Participants are advised to wear additional protective gear such as gloves, knee pads, and elbow pads for their safety.
3. Participant Requirements:
– Participants must be able to ride a bike independently and possess basic riding skills
4. Safety and Behaviour:
– Participants must behave in a safe and responsible manner at all times during the Event.
– Any behaviour that endangers the safety of others or disrupts the Event will result in immediate removal from the Event.
– Participants must follow the instructions of Event staff and volunteers at all times.
5. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability:
– By participating in the Event, you acknowledge and accept that BMX riding is an inherently dangerous activity that involves the risk of serious injury or death.
– You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in the Event, including but not limited to falls, collisions with other participants, and equipment failure.
– You agree to waive, release, and discharge the Event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and any associated entities from any and all claims, liabilities, or causes of action arising out of your participation in the Event.
– You agree not to sue or make any claim against the Event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and any associated entities for any injury, damage, or loss sustained as a result of your participation in the Event.
6. Medical Treatment:
– In the event of an injury or medical emergency, you consent to receive necessary medical treatment and agree to be responsible for any costs associated with such treatment.
– A certified first aider will be present at the Event to provide basic first aid if needed.
