What an incredible day we had at Saturday’s Spring into Sanctuary Point Fair! Meeting so many wonderful community members, sharing stories, and telling everyone about our Youth Voice Project and other exciting initiatives was a joy. The fair was the perfect opportunity to connect, celebrate, and showcase the fantastic work happening in Sanctuary Point and the broader Bay and Basin.
A huge thank you goes out to our fantastic Youth Voice students, Lani, Caitlyn, and Ashlee, who were absolute stars in helping Liz at the event. Your enthusiasm and hard work made a real difference, and we are so proud to have you on the Youth Voice team.
We also want to give a big shoutout to the talented artists who entered the Spring into Sanctuary Point Poster Competition. The creativity and effort on display were truly inspiring!
Congratulations to our prize winners:
- Overall Winner: Zeme Grest
- Highly Commended (5-12 years): Daisy Odgers

The winning design by Zeme Grest was used in Sanctuary Point Community Pride’s fair promotions, both online and throughout the community. Zeme’s bright, colourful, and unique design stood out for its adherence to the competition guidelines and impressive graphic design elements.
We at Firefly are proud to support Sanctuary Point Community Pride’s annual fair and look forward to continuing this fantastic partnership. Here’s to many more community spirit, creativity, and collaboration celebrations!
