You Might Have Noticed… Our Firefly Team is Growing!

You might have noticed in our recent social media post from the PLACE visit that the Firefly team has grown, and we’re excited to officially introduce some of the fantastic people who’ve joined us!

This year, we’ve welcomed Ashlee Allen, our Youth Project Assistant, to the team. Ashlee brings great energy and passion, and we’re thrilled to have her on board.

We’ve also recently recruited Gemma Hart as our Engagement and Governance Officer, who will be working with our Youth Advisory Group, which we’re now proudly calling the Youth Crew and reactivating our community listening through our Community Voice initiative; more on that later.

Maiki Blakeney our Community Engagement Officer, who joined us last year to support the Youth Voice Jr project, has been retained and is now helping deliver Youth Voice at VHS and the Curious and Creative program. We’re so lucky to continue working with Maiki!

Kate McBride, who also came on board last year, has stepped into the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) role within the team. Kate’s insight and thoughtfulness have been invaluable as we continue to grow and reflect on our impact.

We’re looking forward to what’s ahead and grateful for the skills, ideas, and dedication each of these team members brings to our shared vision. Keep an eye out for more updates from the Youth Crew and other upcoming projects!
