Update: Workshop Postponed
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Workshop 2: Dreaming Together has been postponed. A new date will be announced shortly. We’re still excited to dream with you — thank you for your understanding and stay tuned for the updated details.

Last month, we kicked off our Community Voice series with Workshop 1: Strengths & Possibilities, and what a great turnout it was! On Saturday, 25 October, community members and young people came together to explore the ABCD and Appreciative Inquiry approaches, co-design the listening questions for the Community Voice survey, and learn how to amplify community assets, focusing on possibilities rather than just problems. The energy, ideas, and connections from that session set a strong foundation for what’s next.

This Saturday, our Community Voice series continues with Workshop 2: Dreaming Together, designed to spark imagination, deepen connection, and shape the next chapter for the Bay & Basin.

Why “Dreaming Together”?

In Workshop 2, we’re diving into the first three stages of the 5D Appreciative Inquiry model: Definition, Discovery and Dream. This approach invites us to build on our strengths, explore what matters most, and imagine what’s possible when young people and the wider community lead with hope and creativity.

Throughout the day, participants will:

  • Explore our shared purpose using Appreciative Inquiry
  • Reflect on what’s working well in our community
  • Engage in group visioning exercises to imagine a thriving Bay & Basin
  • Begin unpacking emerging insights from the Community Voice survey

It’s a chance to step back from day-to-day challenges and lean into what gives us energy. By dreaming together, we lay the groundwork for meaningful, community-informed recommendations, shaped by lived experience, passion and possibility.

What to Expect on the Day

🗓 Saturday, 29 November
10am–4pm
🍽 Lunch provided

The workshop will be hands-on, creative and youth-centred. Expect conversation, collaboration, and plenty of space for everyone’s voice to be heard. Young people, families, community groups and local partners are all welcome; the richer the mix, the stronger the vision.

This session is a crucial stepping stone toward developing recommendations that truly reflect our community’s aspirations for the years ahead.
