Call for all young Bay and Basin Creatives – Poster Competition

Design a poster for Spring into Sanctuary Point Festival.

Sanctuary Point, NSW (1 August 2022) – Sanctuary Point Community Pride Inc. in conjunction with Firefly Bay and Basin, have launched a Poster Competition where local youth (10-18 years) are invited to submit poster designs for community event Spring into Sanctuary Point, taking place this year on Saturday, 22nd October at Francis Ryan Reserve, Sanctuary Point.

Sanctuary Point Community Pride are looking for talented young people to get creative and submit entries; the top design will be used to officially promote the festival across the community.

The successful entry will receive a $200 gift card and Volcom apparel. Posters are to be designed using graphic design software and submitted by Sunday, 28th August 2022.   

“This is a great opportunity for local youth to show off their graphic design skills, pride in their community and win some great prizes,” said Firefly Bay & Basin Community Connector, Christine McInerney-Percy.

There are also prizes for Highly Commented and People’s Choice.  All the submitted designs will be on display at the Spring into Sanctuary Point Festival, where votes will be collected on the day to award the prize for the People’s Choice Award. 


“Firefly Bay and Basin are happy to assist in the running of this competition and supporting this great event. I am excited to see what designs are submitted, as I know we have some very talented young people in this area” Christine said. 

Spring into Sanctuary Point is an annual festival organised by Sanctuary Point Community Pride Inc. that showcases local community groups, clubs and organisations.  

This year there will be live entertainment, food trucks, alpacas, a jumping castle, market stalls, an outside broadcast by Bay and Basin FM and Totem Skate will be running skate workshops and hosting a skate competition at the bowl.
